Tameside Operation AVRO - 25/09/2025

Dear Resident,

You may have seen an increased police presence in your area today as #OperationAVRO returns to Tameside. 

Officers have been out and about fighting crime across the district, from conducting traffic operations, carrying out drugs warrants and facilitating litter picks alongside local primary schools. 

Alongside partners from Tameside Council, Immigration Enforcement and Trading Standards, your local GMP officers have visited multiple businesses, resulting in a seizure of a large amount of cigarettes, tobacco, vapes and counterfeit Labubu dolls.
